The Centre

Located on the Northside of Dublin City in an area designated as disadvantaged the Village Centre is a unique and collective combination of integrated community services operating in and around a multi purpose building located in the heart of the community of Darndale and Belcamp.

The Building:

 The actual building was opened in October 2001 and is owned by Dublin City Council.  It was constructed by funding obtained by several state agencies that are now operating in the building.  The building is managed by Darndale Belcamp Village Centre Limited a company formed for the duel purpose of managing  the building and integrating the services in and around the Village Centre. Darndale Belcamp Village Centre Limited hold a long term lease on the property and are responsible for the collection of services charges from tenants and retail units.  They also manage a large Conference Centre and five meeting rooms which are available to the community at reduced costs.

The Management Company:

Darndale Belcamp Village Centre Limited was incorporated in 30th November 2001 for the purpose of managing the new village centre building and charged with the integration of services.  We are currently funded under the new POBAL Community Services Programme formally the FÁS Socially Economy Programme

Purpose and Objectives:

The Purpose of the Company is to provide a warm welcoming quality Village Centre that enables Service Providers deliver a professional service to the Community.

The 5 Aims of Darndale Belcamp Village Centre:

  1. Financial stablility
  2. To provide a safe, healthy and pleasant environment for people who work and visit the  Centre 
  3. Promote and support services and service Providers and maximise the use of the Village Centre 
  4. Engage in local and national promotional activities that highlights the Centre and Community in a positive way 
  5. Integration of Services

The Board:


The Board is made up of 12 voluntary members with representation from the Statutory, Community and Commercial Pillars.
